Birmingham City is the first club in the FA to gain promotion from League 1, while Wrexham’s chance for a third straight promotion is now in their own hands. Walsall’s drop in League 2 continues, with the club having had a 12-point cushion at the top but now finding themselves in fourth place. Finally, Tranmere scored a late equalizer at Accrington Stanley in the battle to survive an exodus from the professional ranks.
